Steering Angle Calibration
Steering angle calibration ensures that the steering assist module responds correctly to the position of your steering wheel. Proper calibration is essential for accurate system operation.
When to Calibrate?
Perform calibration in the following situations:
- After initial installation of the steering assist module
- When the vehicle continues to drive on one side of the row
- After work on the steering mechanism
Preparation
Before starting calibration:
- Ensure the vehicle is on level ground
- Start the engine (or turn on the ignition)
- Make sure automatic steering is enabled on the vehicle
- Open the Neotex Steering Assist App and connect to the module
- Go to "Calibrate Steering Angle" in the dashboard
Calibration Procedure
Step 1: Start Calibration
Press "Start Calibration" to begin the process.
Step 2: Set Zero Point
- Stand directly in front of the vehicle, so you are facing the front of the vehicle.
- Click the arrows in the app to rotate the steering wheel to the center position.
- Ensure the wheels are straight. Confirm the center position in the app by pressing "Save and Finish"
Step 3: Test the Calibration
Drive a short distance to verify that the vehicle drives nicely through the center of a path. Make adjustments if necessary by recalibrating.
Helpful Tip
Is the vehicle driving too much to one side? Return to the calibration page. If the vehicle is driving too far to the left when viewed from the front, press the right arrow to correct the steering slightly to the right, and vice versa. Some vehicles naturally run slightly crooked, so small adjustments may be needed.
