Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Vehicle
My vehicle continues to drive on one side of the row.
This is often a calibration problem with the steering angle sensor. Try recalibrating the steering angle sensor via the app. Follow the instructions in the calibration guide.
The vehicle doesn't steer or steers too much
Check if the LiDAR sensor is clean and free of obstacles. To clean it, use a soft, slightly damp cloth and wipe gently over the sensor. DO NOT use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive materials, as these can damage the sensor. Make sure the sensor is completely dry before turning the steering assist back on.
The status LED stays red
The steering module does not start up. This only happens when the battery voltage is too low. Check for loose grounds or damaged cables in the wiring of the steering assist module. Measure the battery voltage and ensure it is at least 11.5V.
The status LED is flashing
This means a fault in the wiring to the sensors has been detected. Check the wiring to the LiDAR sensor and steering angle sensor for loose connections or damage.
Connection
My phone can't find the steering assist module
Check the following:
- Bluetooth is turned on on your phone
- The steering assist module has power (ignition on)
- You are within range of the module (approximately 10 meters)
- Location services are turned on (required for Bluetooth on Android)
- You have connected within 10 minutes of turning on the module
- If you have connected before, try reconnecting via "My Vehicles" instead of "Bluetooth" in the bottom menu
The connection keeps dropping
Try standing closer to the vehicle and ensure there are no large obstacles between you and the module.
Can I pair multiple phones?
Yes, multiple phones can connect to the same steering assist module. Follow the connection instructions on each phone separately. The name you give the vehicle in the app is only visible locally on that phone, so you can use a different name for the same vehicle on each phone.
Usage
How often should I calibrate?
Calibration is usually only necessary after the initial installation or if you notice the vehicle continues to drive on one side. Under normal circumstances, regular calibration is not necessary. However, if you have performed work on the steering mechanism or are using a different vehicle, it is recommended to recalibrate.
Does the app work without an internet connection?
No, the app requires an internet connection for functions such as firmware updates and downloading vehicle data. However, the basic steering assist functions continue to work without internet after the module is connected and calibrated.
