Vehicle Update

The steering assist module can receive firmware updates to improve performance and add new features. Updates are performed via the Neotex Steering Assist App.

Check for Updates

  1. Open the Neotex Steering Assist App.
  2. Connect to the module and go to "Firmware" in the dashboard.
  3. If an update is available, a notification will appear with the option to update.

Install Update

Preparation

Before installing an update:

  1. Ensure you have an available Wi-Fi network or hotspot on your phone.

Update Procedure

Step 1: Connect to the Module

  1. Connect to the module via the app and go to "Firmware" in the dashboard.
  2. Click "Go to Step 2"

Step 2: Enter Wi-Fi Settings

  1. Search the list of available Wi-Fi networks for the network you want to use for the update.
  2. Select the network and enter the password if prompted.
  3. If the network is not displayed, click "Add Network Manually" and enter the network name (SSID) and password.
  4. It may take a moment for the module to connect to the network. Once the connection is established, click "Go to Step 3"

Step 3: Download and Install Update

  1. Click "Start Update" to download and install the update.
  2. The update may take several minutes, stay near the machine.
  3. Once the update is complete, the module will automatically shut down. Turn the ignition back on.

After the Update

Check the Version

To verify that the update was successfully installed, go to "Firmware" in the dashboard and check if you see the notification that you have the latest version.

Common Problems

Update Failed

Verify that you have a stable internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, contact customer service. Close the app completely and restart before trying again.

I Can't Get to Step 3

Close the app completely and restart before trying again. Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection and that you have entered the correct network credentials.

Restore Old Version

Go to "Firmware" in the dashboard. Scroll down and click "Downgrade" to return to the previous version. Now turn off the ignition and turn it back on to complete the downgrade.
